Fault
Machine takes a long time to freeze or does not freeze at all
-
Cause
Condensor dirty or blocked
Fan not working
Low on gas
Compressor is faulty -
Solution
Incorrect Syrup Ratio – Ensure the correct syrup-to-water mix; improper ratios affect freezing. A slush machine will not freeze plain water.
Fan Motor Issues – If the fan isn’t working, freezing time increases or stops. Test airflow by placing paper on the left-side panel—if it sticks, the fan is working. Ensure a 50mm gap around the machine for ventilation.
Dirty or Blocked Condenser – The most common cause of freezing failure. Clean regularly with compressed air to remove dust and grease. Heavy buildup may require a service engineer.
Refrigeration Issues – Low gas levels or a faulty compressor indicate a leak. Contact a commercial refrigeration engineer for repairs.
